Superior Energy Services is currently seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to join our team in the Lafayette, LA area.

Summary

The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for managing the entire purchasing process including vendors, the purchasing agent, and the parts room clerks. The position will also be handling special projects and coordination with contractors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage vendors on certain projects.

Conduct vendor audits.

Conduct purchasing of goods and services.

Receive and supervise completion of receiving equipment and/or parts.

Fill out requisitions on a daily basis.

Coordinate with the Purchasing Agent to issue purchasing orders correctly.

Follow up on equipment that is ordered and received and make sure it is tracked on a spreadsheet.

Access and negotiate quotes for standard and special projects.

Conduct JSA's.

Follow established safety policies and procedures.

Follow established ISO operating procedures.

Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

Three years of related purchasing experience.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Familiar with oilfield equipment; preferrably gate valves, plug valves, manifolds, and/or swivel joints.

ISO experience preferred.

Computer proficient, familiar with Microsoft Office Programs.

Able to establish priorities, work independently, stay organized, and proceed with objectives without supervision.

Able to handle and resolve recurring problems.

Strong negotiation skills.

Able to calculate basic arithmetic.

Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required by the Operations Manager.
