Job Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Description Coordinate and manage geophysical operations for Devon’s domestic oil and gas exploration and exploitation efforts. Work in the Corporate Geophysical Services Department with cross functional support teams to deliver high quality, cost effective geophysical work programs in compliance with all Devon EHS policies.

Essential Functions:

Work closely with geologist and geophysicist and other related team members to prepare project specifications for geophysical operations

Generate operations plans that satisfy both technical and financial objectives

Prepare detailed budgets and timelines for project tracking

Assist with monthly and year ends accruals for seismic projects

Submit tender and bid packages to vendors and evaluate results

Coordinate logistics of seismic operations to insure timely and cost effective project completion

Coordinate seismic permits and fulfill regulatory requirements necessary for seismic acquisition

Evaluate seismic acquisition equipment tests to ensure instruments and sources are working correctly

Coordinate and oversee all permitting processes and communicate with stakeholders directly if needed

Document and file all relevant project related information

Liaison with peer companies on common geophysical issues

Provide high level customer service to Devon G&G asset teams meeting request deadlines.

Field assessments as required to monitor geophysical operations

Organize field trips for Devon personnel

Non-Essential/Marginal Functions:

Ability to process seismic (or supervise the processing) start-up tests to determine optimal acquisition parameters

Qualifications

Minimum of Bachelors degree in Geophysics or related discipline

8+ years of industry experience with the majority in seismic operations

Strong interpersonal skill with the ability and desire to work in multi-disciplinary teams

Strong public speaking, presentation and organizational skills

Proven ability to drive a project to completion and find solutions to problems

Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Understand geophysical objectives, specifications and requirements for seismic acquisition work programs

Understand principles of 3D seismic acquisition design

Ability to multitask and prioritize work
