The Exploration department is focused on building a diverse portfolio of high-impact light oil, heavy oil and natural gas opportunities for medium and long term production growth. Our organization is built around teamwork utilizing the contributions of each individual to create and sustain successful projects. Currently we anticipate two to four summer student opportunities to be available.The 4-month summer position will commence on May 5, 2014. This position is based in Calgary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with your mentor and team to complete a relevant geophysical project that will add value to Devon Canada; comprising geological/geophysical modeling, geophysical processing and interpretation

Learn and use the appropriate computer applications to complete your project

Present your project results in several meetings to your team, manager, and a group of senior geotechnical individuals


You will have completed second or third year Geophysics in an Earth Science program at a Canadian University by May 2014; or you are returning in the fall of 2014 to pursue a Masters or PHD in GeologyWhy work for Devon?
