Integrated Production Services is currently seeking a CNC Operator to join our team.


A CNC Operator is expected to operate CNC machines in a productive and safe manner to produce parts that meet quality requirements at the lowest cost in a timely manner while minimizing waste of materials and resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Receives instructions. Reviews details of working procedure, tools and material requirements.

Sets up and repairs equipment by using machining techniques and appropriate machining equipment.

Sets up and fabricates replacement and new parts.

Performs minor mechanical and assembly work.

Uses measuring equipment to ensure proper dimensions given in drawings or instructions, use calipers.

Keeps equipment, tooling, and work area clean, orderly and secure.

Assist in process development with engineers, quality technicians and supervisors.

Perform maintenance of machines as required and keep supervision informed of necessary maintenance beyond operator assigned maintenance.

Perform necessary side operations during machine cycle time as required.

Follow set-up procedures and recommend improvements.

Recognize problem processes and/or an unsafe set-ups and recommend alternatives.

Provide assistance and training to other operators and may be required to move to other machines if needed.

Work as a team member to aid all shifts and support personnel to operate to departmental standards including quality and productivity goals.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Demonstrated ability to read and understand CNC programs and operational layouts as required.

Proven understanding of tooling requirements to set up and operate machines in the department, including pre-setting of tools.

Demonstrated skill and use of precision measurements.

Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

2+ years of CNC Lathe and Mill experience.

Experience with set-up, editing and operating mill turn / horizontal mill / multi axis lathe.

Be away from home multiple days at a time.

Proficient in “G" codes and Fanuc controls a plus.


High School diplomaPC Skills for Manufacturing, Measurement Skills for Manufacturing, Math for Machinists, Blueprint Reading for Machinists, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
